First, thank you for taking the time to look at my artwork. I have devoted much of my life to adorning, translating, and exploring the visual world and hope that my work speaks to a similar search within you.

I strive to convey in my work the sense of awe I hold for the people, and places, and beautiful objects that appear in my daily life. Making art is an ongoing excuse to stare at things, to retreat and ponder them, and to marvel how the essence of even the simplest subjects is so deceptively difficult to capture.

It is for all these reasons that fifteen years of making art has only strengthened my addiction to creating in any medium I can get my hands on. There really is both a sense of thrill and peace that comes with investigating an object so closely and intently that I temporarily forget every thing else around me. I hope my finished paintings can envelope and entrance you the way creating them does for me.
